What are the benefits of In-Home Physical Therapy?

I provide my expertise in the convenience of your home, child’s school, or daycare. I love treating in the home setting because I get to see children and families in their natural environments, which enables me to see where they struggle in daily life and help them in areas I may miss when treating in a clinical environment. Plus, you save time commuting and your child is able to learn in a familiar environment.

What happens in a session?

I have been treating children in their homes, schools, and daycare’s for over 20 years, and I have numerous tips and tricks I love to share! As part of every physical therapy session, I work not only with your child but also with you as the family/caregiver teaching you how to empower your child through movement. Helping your child learn to sit or walk with furniture, toys, and equipment you already have in your home means easier better home program carryover.

When appropriate for the child, I find aquatic therapy a great adjunct to land-based PT and add that into our therapy program if your child has access to a pool and weather is permitting. In addition, I love extending our therapy setting to local playgrounds, parks, and beaches when it fits into the child’s goals.

How does the program work?

 I get so excited seeing the joy and sense of accomplishment in the eyes of both you and your child as we work together to help your child accomplish their milestones!

Sessions are based on a child’s need and I work with you as a family to determine how many sessions are needed based on how a child is progressing. Ultimately, my goal is to teach you as a parent to empower your child through movement for benefits that continue long after our sessions conclude.

My desire is for every child to receive the care they need, no matter their financial situation. I offer many different packages and prices to make sure you can find an affordable solution for your family.

Payment accepted: Cash, Gardiner/ Family Empowerment/ Step Up For Students Scholarship, credit card, Zelle, and Venmo. I am happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company upon request.
